Road Transport Coordinator
Work Location: Douala, Cameroon

Purpose (Key roles and responsibilities)
Efficiently manage and maintain APCC’s fleet whilst keeping track of vehicle performance in IVMS system.
Accountabilities (including KPIs)
Principal deliverables and accountabilities include:
- Customers
- Keep employees and end users informed about their fleet programmes and progress.
- Fleet
- Budget
- Assist Logistics Team Leader in monitoring Camtrack contract(IVMS) and Card maintenance contract to operate within approved contract ceiling and budget.
- Assist the Logistic Team Leader to manage the fuel contracts.
- Acquisition/Disposal
- Organize replacements and disposal of damaged or old vehicles.
- Initiate the purchase and leasing of appropriate vehicles and necessary equipments.
- In Vehicle Management System (IVMS)
- Act as company site representative for IVMS contract and monitor IVMS installation in company and contracted vehicles
- Monitor the IVMS system on a daily basis and ensure good standardized performance.
- Carry out IVMS decoding for all vehicules.
- Fuel
- Assist the Logistics Team Leader in the authorization and monitoring fuel consumption.
- Maintenance
- Prepare vehicle maintenance schedule(preventive adn currative) and maintain a live record.
- Coordinate and control the maintenance and repair of vehicles in the fleet.
- Provide timely maintenance to a fleet of 38 vehicles.
- Monitor contractor performance against company objectives, identifying opportunities for service quality improvement.
- Reporting
- Prepare monthly fleet maintenance reports and submit to the Logistics Team Leader
- Analyze, challenge, produce reports and hightlight exceptional data to Logistics Team Leader in the areas of IVMS, vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption.
- Produce HSSE environmental data to inform management decision.
- Take minutes during Land transport meetings and produce timely reports
HSSE
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of APCC’s HSE MS.
- Contribute to the preparation of Operations/Technical Annual HSSE plan.
- Coordinate the reporting, follow-up and close out of all Land logistics incidents in EMEX
- Organize IVMS panel for violators and acts as Secretary of Land Logistics Incident Review Panels and IVMS Violation Panel. Apply necessary consequence management.
- Liaise with security on missing/stolen vehicles and ensure a consistent follow up.
- Play the anchor role for secondary logistics with relation to other departments.
Experience and Qualifications Required (capabilities)
- Minimum Bachelor degree or Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering background
- Experience in Logistics/vehicle fleet management desired.
- Good computer skills(Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects)
- Good analytical, problem solving skills
- Fluent in English and French
